It seems like every other product on the market is one-upping Apple of late, and the streaming media device Roku is soon to be on that list. As of October 22nd, Roku and 3M will be selling a revolutionary portable streaming device with a built-in projector on Amazon.com. This means you’ll be able to bring all of your favorite apps like Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon Instant Video with you wherever you go. “We’ve worked very closely with the 3M projector team to ensure consumers get the best streaming experience available from a projection device,” said Chas Smith, senior vice president and general manager of Roku’s platform OEM business. “The 3M Streaming Projector creates a big-screen Roku experience for people to enjoy content in any setting.”
The 3M Streaming Projector can project an image up to 120 inches, and boasts a two hour and forty-five minute battery life and built-in stereo speakers. All of the 600 channels on Roku, including games, are accessible through the Roku Streaming Stick that is located on the inside of the projector. Does this mean we’ll be able to watch our Playboy models in a larger-than-life setting? We hope so.
The 3M Streaming Projector is available on Amazon October 22nd for $299.
