With Champions Week for the NCAA’s college basketball season in full swing and March Madness right around the corner (SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT!: Sign up today for Playboy.com’s 2013 Bracket Challenge), we thought it an apt time to check in with the Girls of the Big 10, to dig a little deeper into the history and haunts of each school as seen through the eyes of its most beautiful ambassadors. And who knows; if you find yourself wandering around the college towns of the great Midwest during March Madness, maybe you’ll run into one of these lovely ladies at a place like:

At which bar will everyone on Campus be watching March Madness?

Donna Michelle (Purdue):The signature Purdue bar—Harry’s Chocolate Shop. It’s been around for a long time and has the most class of any bar on campus.

Romana Lee (Penn State):Either Bill Pickle’s Tap Room or Bar Bleu, a sports bar that serves great chili. They’re the two best spots in town to get great drink specials and celebrate a win!

Bailey Kay (Michigan State): Harper’s Restaurant and Brewpub. The owners brew their own beer, and the bar has a bunch of huge big-screen TVs for sporting events.

What’s your favorite game-day tradition?

Bailey Kay (Michigan State): During football season I wake up at 7 a.m., bump loud music to get the party started and tailgate on the MSU tennis courts.

Rachel Rockefeller (Iowa): It doesn’t get much better than when the football team is introduced to AC/DC’s “Back in Black.”

Donna Michelle (Purdue):Breakfast Club! I get up really early and go out to the bars, which are open equally early. They’re packed with students and offer all kinds of great drink specials.

How do you taunt the other Big 10 teams?

Sasha Camille (Indiana):We hold huge heads behind the basket to throw them off whenever they take a shot.

Bailey Kay (Michigan State):We don’t need to taunt them; we just beat them.

Romana Lee (Penn State): We come up with all kinds of things [to taunt archrival Ohio State]. But I love the T-shirts that read “Buck the Fuckeyes.”

What’s the craziest thing you’ve witnessed on Campus after a big win?

Sasha Camille (Indiana): After we beat Kentucky, everyone rushed the court. I was outside of Assembly Hall, where things got even crazier. People were jumping on cars and going insane. YouTube it!

Rachel Rockefeller (Iowa):After a big last-minute win against Michigan during the 2009 football season, everyone made a mad dash for the field—including me! All of a sudden, though, the football players started coming in my direction. It was beyond frightening! Luckily, I made it out okay, but that’s the last time I plan on rushing the field.

Tell us something most people don’t know about your university.

Romana Lee (Penn State):Our school colors used to be black and pink.

Rachel Rockefeller (Iowa):We were the first public university to admit men and women on an equal basis.
