From the delicious to just plain weird, Playboy.com's Late Night Foodie brings us their first round up of what's going on in the world of food.
Food Dare

Would you join The Dark Side if all you needed to do was bite into a burger? Quick, a popular restaurant chain in Europe, is asking their customers to choose between the light and dark side of the force by introducing Star Wars Phantom Menace themed burgers: The Jedi Burger with a normal white bun and the dark burger with, you guessed it, a black one. We assumed that the colored food gimmick died in the brief, but repulsively fascinating heydays, of purple hot dog buns and green ketchup but it looks like this dead horse hasn’t been flogged enough.
V.I.P Dinners

For the sake of making you jealous, we were invited to one of the most exclusive nights in food at Montreal’s Queue de Cheval and took this picture of a gorgeous girl clad in sashimi and shrimp. Food Porn, a night of lust and overindulgence, was first held in 2006 and was resurrected in celebration of Queue de Cheval owner Peter Morentzo’s 50th birthday. A night full of women covered in little more than exquisite finger foods, rub shoulders with some of the biggest foodie socialites in the francophone town and taste some of the best food and alcohol parings you’ll have all year, we’re hoping this event becomes an annual one.
Burger Radar

Screw Mom & Pop shops, Steak ‘N Shake not only has some of the best steak burgers, paper hats and milkshakes, they’re also bringing their chain to NY with a heart stopping bang. Opening on 1695 Broadway, right next to the Ed Sullivan Theater, Steak ‘N Shake will be awarding the first 150 customers that show up at their new location with free burgers for an entire year. Does your brain even comprehend how amazing that is? Hopefully there aren’t a high amount of heart attack related deaths after this promotion because we would like to see more big chains jump in on the overindulgent gifting.
Suds ‘n Grub

If you happen to find yourself in South Gosforth, Newcastle with a dog, head on down to local brew pub The Brandling Villa. No longer will your guilty conscience eat at you while you enjoy a cold one, the pub has finally developed a non-alcoholic dog friendly craft beer you can crack open with your best bud. The beer, fittingly called Dog Beer, is made with malt and hops infused with a deliciously refreshing meat extract. Those hipsters sure know how to steal each other’s money!
