The Sexiest Films of Sundance

By Staff

The 2013 Sundance Film Festival is all about sex. Here's the titles that have caught our eye.

It’s the year of sex at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, and depending on whom you ask it’s either awesome or awful. Obviously to us, it’s wicked. But with all of this coverage on sex at Sundance over the past few days, we ask the question, why is sex in film even shocking anymore? Daniel Radcliffe brought up a really interesting point when he was interviewed by MTV earlier in the week and was overwhelmed with questions about his gay sex scene in the film Kill Your Darlings, where he portrays beat poet Allen Ginsberg. “It’s interesting that it’s deemed shocking. For me, there’s something very strange about that because we see straight sex scenes all the time. We’ve seen gay sex scenes before. I don’t know why a gay sex scene should be any more shocking than a straight sex scene. Or both of them are equally unshocking.”

Shocking or not, sex and porn reigned supreme at this year’s Sundance. Here are only a few of the films that got our attention.

Amanda Seyfried stars as Linda Lovelace, a porn star made famous for her role in one of the first porn films to have a plot, Deep Throat. This biopic follows Lovelace’s struggles with her abusive husband and the pornography industry before she began taking control of her life.
