You know the saying that you can tell a lot about a guy by his shoes? That’s a cover for ladies to size up your dick. But according to new research conducted in Korea, it seems that the truth about penis size may be in the ratio of the length between a man’s index finger and ring finger.

Compiled from 144 Korean men who underwent urological surgery, the paper theorized that those whose index finger was shorter than the ring finger had a longer flaccid penis length as well as a larger erect penis.

There have been previous studies that have linked the two together, so the results were not too surprising. The ratio is said to be linked to the amount of sex hormones, estrogen and testosterone, the person was exposed to in the womb. These hormones control both finger and penis growth, so theoretically the two sizes are related. “Based on this evidence, we suggest that digit ratio can [even] predict adult penile size [at a young age],” wrote the researchers who conducted the measurements at Gachon University in Incheon, Korea.

So the next time a girl wants to check your fingers to see if you're keeping your nails clean, know that she's probably interested in knowing how much you're packing in your pants.
