Up In Smoke:Porn Habits

Do you know anyone who has never watched porn? If so, there’s a researcher who wants to hear from you! A professor in Montreal, Quebec is back at the drawing board after his search for male participants who have never watched porn went unanswered. Initially the study was going to focus on the differences between men who had watched “sexually explicit material” as opposed to those who had not, but since they couldn’t find one participant who was porn free, they were left with no other choice but to nix the study and change it to a study of men’s porn habits.

“The objective of my work is to observe the impact of pornography on the sexuality of men, and how it shapes their perception of men and women,” Simon Louis Lajeunesse told reporters. “Pornography hasn't changed their perception of women or their relationship which they all want as harmonious and fulfilling as possible.”

Researchers found that single men spend about 40 minutes watching porn three times a week while men in committed relationships watched on average 20 minutes, one to two times a week.

“Those who could not live out their fantasy in real life with their partner simply set aside the fantasy,” said Lajeunesse. “The fantasy is broken in the real world and men don't want their partner to look like a porn star.”
