layboy.com: In Walk Hard, John C.
Reilly plays Dewey Cox, a pop star
who rises, then falls, then rises back
to the top. More or less. So Scarlett,
what's your role in the movie?
Scarlett: I play a fiddle player in
John C. Reilly's band. I'm also a love
interest. [Laughs] It's more of a sex
interest than a love interest.
Playboy.com: Would you go crazy for
a real-life Dewey Cox?
Scarlett: Would I go crazy? [Laughs]
Um, well, yeah, I think most women
find it attractive when a guy gets up
on a stage and can sing or play an
instrument. I always have. And John
C. Reilly himself, he was such a nice
man, a hardworking man, and he
wouldn't be your typical Hollywood
sex symbol. We all said he's so
attractive, because he got up there
and he's so good at what he does.
So yeah, I would like Dewey Cox,
I guess.
Playboy.com: Is there an instrument
you would like to learn?
Scarlett: Well, I've always wanted to
play the guitar, but to be honest with
you, I picked up one once and my
fingers hurt so bad. I guess you just
get little calluses on your fingers and
get used to it.
Playboy.com: Would you ever date a
musician?
Scarlett: I think you have to be really confident to date a musician,
because they always have women throwing themselves at them.
It's the same thing with dating an actor.
Playboy.com: Have you ever had a
crush on a rock star?
Scarlett: Well, actually, now that you
mention it: Jack White. He is Elvis in
the movie. He came on, and I didn't
think anything of it, I didn't even know
I was going to see him. But my scene
was up next, so I was standing waiting
to go on. And I was like, "Oh my gosh,
he's so handsome." The ladies on the
set that day all had a big crush
on Jack White.
