Reneé Tenison, Playboy’s Miss November 1989, went on to become Playmate of the Year 1990. Reneé was the first African American woman to be named Playmate of the Year. She and her twin sister Rosie were born in Caldwell, Idaho. The identical twins grew up dreaming of becoming models and posed for a pictorial together in Playboy’s August 2002 issue.
In a 1989 interview, Reneé shared her ambitions with us: “to represent Playboy as well as I can and to be a successful model/actress.” In addition to appearing in several Playboy videos, Reneé had a small part in the movie Nutty Professor II: The Klumps. She modeled on The Price Is Right and has made guest appearances on many TV shows, including Living Single, Family Matters, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, L.A. Heat, V.I.P.¸ Judging Amy, and The Parkers.
Reneé’s ideal man has a “good sense of humor, seductive smile, great bod, and is my best friend.” Her perfect evening involves a “romantic dinner, drinks by candlelight, a walk by the river, and a soak in a hot tub.” Reneé’s turn-ons include “hot summer nights, soft music, cuddling, riding horses, and working out.” She’s turned off by “rude people, heavy traffic, and loud noises.”
Nowadays, Reneé and Rosie run a Southern California fashion boutique called Varga.
