Canada Meets India with This Chicken Tikka Poutine
In this episode of Let’s Get Fat, Nakul and Arjun Mahendro of Badmaash in Los Angeles show Playboy senior editor Jeremy Repanich how they combined their Canadian roots with their Indian heritage to make a delicious Chicken Tikka Poutine. They start by marinating chicken thighs in yogurt, mustard oil, fenugreek, garlic and a mixture of spices, then they cook it in a tandoor oven. The Mahendro brothers put that classic Indian chicken atop the classic Canadian drunk food: poutine. A good poutine consists of fries, gravy and cheese curds. They toss their fries in some Indian spices to round out this outstanding dish that’s perfect for a night of long drinking.
