In the two years since he peeled himself off Conan's couch, former late-night sidekick Andy Richter has stepped up to become one of prime time's most unlikely leading men...the name in the title. His hilarious Fox comedy Andy Richter Controls the Universe begins its second hit season on Sunday nights.
We asked Fox's coolest star how he lost his virginity, if he likes to watch and whether he rules the universe between the sheets. Even though Richter, 36, has been happily married for eight years and is the devoted father of a young son, he graciously allowed us to ask our prurient questions.
And like the Conan-leaving, universe-controlling badass that he is, Richter didn't puss out on answering a single one. Well, OK, one. He wouldn't give up sexy Universe co-star Paget Brewster's phone number. Even for $20. What a jackass.
1. Did you get lots of Conan groupies?
Andy Richter: When I started working on Conan, I had just gotten engaged. People might say, "You missed out on parlaying your low-level fame into some poontang." But that wouldn't be up my alley.
2. What celebrity would you most like to have sex with, if you were single?
AR: Myself! [Laughs] Maybe Winona Ryder before the shoplifting scandal. Then again, we could have gone shoplifting together. She's a very attractive young woman.
3. Have you ever had sex in a public place?
AR: In a swimming pool, which was more drunken than fun. I was late-night skinny-dipping, and I'd had way too much to drink. Underwater sex is not even that good. There's natural processes that get overridden. It's more of a novelty than it is enjoyable.
4. What's your favorite part of the female anatomy?
AR: I'm not being sensitive guy here, but a pretty face is absolutely the most attractive thing. Then it's a tie between really nice skin and the butt. A nice ass is very nice.
5. What is the most people you've slept with in one day?
AR: Just one. Or two if you count me.
