Shera Bechard, Playboy’s Miss November 2010, is from Kapuskasing, Ontario, Canada. She shares a hometown with director James Cameron.
Shera moved to Toronto at 18 to pursue a career as a model. In 2009, she studied martial arts to prepare for her starring role in the indie revenge thriller Sweet Karma, for which she won the Best Actress award at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas. Shera is Hugh Hefner’s former girlfriend. She and Hef appeared together on The Dog Whisperer, as Cesar Milan worked with them to help their dogs get along. She also played herself on Kendra Wilkinson’s reality show Kendra on Top.
In addition to modeling and acting, Shera has studied perfumery in France and hopes to pursue that further. She thinks the sexiest scents a guy can wear are Ralph Lauren’s warm, musky colognes. She’s attracted to guys with a good sense of humor. She told Playboy she’s turned on by “guys who make me laugh so hard I hyperventilate! I’m also partial to cowboys with a bit of facial hair.” Her turnoffs include overblown egos and aggressive, bossy men.
The socially conscious Shera is passionate about the environment and animal rights. She has spoken out against hunting and promotes the conservation of polar bears in her native Canada. She says that her favorite thing to eat is sushi—she loves eel, giant clams and raw scallops.
When Shera’s not working, she’s traveling, and she hopes to one day open a bed-and-breakfast in Costa Rica. For now, you can catch her on Twitter, where her go-getting Frisky Friday pics are a hit.
