FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I submit photographs of a potential model?

Just send them in! Nude photos aren't mandatory, but they are the best way for us to evaluate a girl's potential to be a Playboy model. Bikinis or lingerie is fine, but topless is better and nude is best. You can submit your photos by regular mail (please note we cannot return submissions unless you provide a self-addressed stamped envelope) or via e-mail-in jpeg format, if possible. Please keep in mind the following:

Models must be 18 years of age or older and submit two forms of ID, one of which must have a photograph, and clearly shows date of birth and the expiration date. Acceptable forms of ID include: birth certificates, driver's licenses, voter's registration cards, social security cards, passports or college photo ID.

Send in recent color photos-digital images or snapshots that clearly show face and full figure-from a variety of angles including from the side, front and back.

Include vital stats such as height, weight, age, measurements, school enrollment and anything else you'd like us to know.

Send your submission via email to SESUBMISSIONS@PLAYBOY.COM or via regular mail to:

What is a Playboy Casting Call?

Every month Playboy's Casting Call crew travels to a new city where we stage open model auditions to evaluate beautiful girls and their potential to become Playmates, SE models, Cyber Girls or models for other Playboy-branded opportunities. Each month, girls are selected from the most recent Casting Call city to be part of an online feature in our exclusive membership site Playboy's Cyber Club. Based on the feedback and traffic the girls receive, we will make decisions about which young ladies will be photographed for future Playboy opportunities.

If a model has appeared in a Special Editions issue, can she still become a Playmate?

Absolutely. Many a Playmate got her start as a Special Editions model and then moved on to become a Centerfold. The list of SE alumnae turned Playmate is long and includes Heather Kozar, Miriam Gonzalez, Tiffany Taylor, Kimberly Holland, Hiromi Oshima, Courtney Rachel Culkin, Monica Leigh, Kara Monaco and many others.

What are Playboy Special Editions?

Playboy Special Editions are full-color, specialty-themed issues featuring some of the world's most beautiful women. Period. We celebrate the female form in two books each month, not to mention accompanying online content, videos and merchandise. Special Editions' Lingerie comes out six times a year along with regular issues such as College Girls, Nudes and Voluptuous Vixens. We're always looking for new ways to glorify the goddesses we photograph. Got an idea? Drop us a line at specialeditions@playboy.com.

History of Special Editions

Since 1983 we've published over 400 specialty-themed SE issues from Lingerie and College Girls to Playmates in Bed and Sexy Girls Next Door and the list goes on and on. In addition to the creation and production of two issues each month, we also develop calendars, premiums and DVDs and provide content for Playboy.com, Playboy's Cyber Club and other Playboy-branded websites. We currently have a staff of seven in Chicago with several photo production teams scattered around the country and Europe who scout and shoot all the beautiful girls featured in our issues.
