Little Palm Island Resort, hidden three miles offshore from the Lower Florida Keys, is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway. The 30 ultra-private thatched-roof bungalows that make up this exclusive five-and-a-half acre island resort are nestled in the shadows of hundreds of coconut palm trees and are accessible from the airport by private yacht or seaplane. Once you're there, settle into either the 600-square-foot Bungalow Suite (Howard Stern and fiancée Beth Ostrosky were recent guests), or one of two 1,000-square-foot Island Grand Suites on the perimeter of the island, all tricked out with butterfly-netted king-sized beds, British Colonial furniture and private ocean-side patios with outdoor showers. The resort's two-night "No Rings, No Strings" promotion lets you inconspicuously check in under famous lovers' names like "Mr. Big and Carrie Bradshaw" and stay indoors to enjoy private tantric yoga instruction and turndown amenities like body oils, candles, rose petals, strawberries and fresh whipped cream without the distraction of telephones, alarm clocks or TVs.
WHAT'S COOKING: Cuban-born chef Luis Pous creates global and seasonal dishes at the Dining Room, but to really seal the deal, arrange for the chef to serve you a private sunset dinner at Palapa Point, an intimate tiki hut set up on the water's edge.
SUITE DREAMS: John Stamos and model Daniela Urzi were guests at one of the hotel's luxurious Island Grand Suites, a 1,000-square foot bungalow decked out with his and hers slate-floor bathrooms, a 10-foot claw-foot tub and Jacuzzi tubs on the outdoor observation deck. ($1140-$2040 per night)
