When Spider-Man squeeze Kirsten Dunst dove into the glowing pool at the Tropicana Bar shortly after it opened in 2005, she splashed the revamped Hollywood hotspot right into the tabloids. Why the fuss? Dunst jumped in without bothering to shed her skimpy shorts and T-shirt. Dunst's notorious dip isn't the norm at top-shelf poolside bars, but there's no denying that the "wet" bars on Playboy's A-list are not your usual social scenes. The hottest poolside bars have exotic, over-the-top atmospheres, creative food and drink menus and scantily clad customers -- or, in the case of one Vegas bar, a topless clientele.

In Vegas -- which rivals Miami for sheer number of poolside bars -- we love The Palms' latest offering, The Palms Pool & Bungalows, which accommodates more than 2,000 revelers in a live-music party setting. In Aspen, guests can slink around in swimwear year-round at 39 Degrees, with its roaring fireplaces and fire pit. In the Big Apple, the Gansevoort Hotel has a rooftop poolside bar and a basement whirlpool-side club that's as exclusive as they come.

Glass-bottomed pools, private poolside bungalows, butler service and, of course, scantily clad beautiful girls -- you can't go wrong at these top poolside spots.
