The Earl
488 Flat Shoals Road, East Atlanta, Georgia

This East Atlanta mainstay is the kind of laid-back joint the guy from
My Name is Earl might dig. Antique beer trays and yard sale cast-offs line the wall, shots are served in paper cups, the bar food is stick-to-your-guts damn good and cheap beer flows like water. It's a perfect scene made even better with a cozy performance space and prescient booking. Regularly graced by some of the best up-and-coming ATL rock acts as well as bands from other Southern hotspots like Athens, the back stage also hosts raved-about indie groups like the Mountain Goats.
Famous Alumni: Butch Walker, Eric Bachmann, Cat Power
Bands to See Now: The Black Lips, The Selmanaires
