Hospitality is the name of the game at New York City's impossibly exclusive and high-end lounge from nightlife vets and childhood friends Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum, which exploded on the scene in 2006 (just in time to host the VMA parties). There's no actual VIP area because the whole place only holds about 300 people. Once you get in, everyone is treated like a VIP," says Remm. The luxurious space has three different vibes, and one very cool studded, leather-topped bar in what is referred to as "the marble lounge." The drink -- or rather, bottle -- of choice here is a magnum of Cristal for the money-is-no-object crowd. The most exclusive bottle they carry, a three-liter jeroboam of Louis Roederer Cristal, goes for $7,500 and is very rare in the U.S., so they serve it with a ceremonial sparkler (they've already sold 20). If you're looking to secure a table, call days in advance as they only have 25 and they usually sell out by 2 p.m. the day of. Tuesday is industry night in Manhattan, which brings out celebs like Nick Lachey, Vanessa Manillo, Kevin Spacey, Jeremy Piven, Giants players and Playboy's Sex Star of the Year, Scarlett Johansson. And that was just a couple of weeks ago.
Behind the velvet rope: "It gets a little crazy," admits Remm, who's often in the tabloids himself for canoodling with It chicks Kristin Cavallari and Lindsay Lohan.
VIP privileges: A prince from Saudi Arabia once requested rose petals at his table, and Tenjune happily obliged. Remm and Birnbaum also own the Four Hundred Club (www.fourhundred.com), a member's-only concierge service that caters to only high-profile clients and accommodates any request.
