Maligned in the past for creature comforts, Hummer nails the interior of the 2008 H2. Comfortable, heated front bucket seats, an intuitive, stylish instrument panel, NASA-worthy nav, audio and climate controls and the essential rear-vision camera (forget about your rear-view mirror with the spare tire essentially blocking your view out the back) make driving this monster like a trip to the spa. Three rows of seats accommodate seven while folding down for cargo space nearly big enough to fit a queen-size mattress.

The H2's all-new 6.2L V8 engine cranks 393 horsepower, and having been built to ford rivers and climb mountains, the SUV treated driving in a Midwest snowstorm like a summer drive on the Pacific Coast Highway. A 0-60 time of 7.8 for a sports car is beyond pedestrian, but for a three-ton SUV, it's the equivalent of a world-class sprinter after a month at BALCO. Because the gross vehicle weight of the H2 means Hummer doesn't need to reveal gas mileage. Then again, if you have to ask...
