Miss January 1996 Victoria Fuller is both the subject and the creator of some of Playboy’s world-renowned art. The Santa Barbara, California, native comes from three generations of artists whose work has been displayed around the world.
At a very young age Victoria exhibited artistic talent. At age two she sketched Snoopy from Charlie Brown. She didn’t even know how to talk yet. In high school she met a teacher who became her mentor and secretly entered her work into a competition.
After high school Victoria began working as a fitness model while taking art classes at night. She eventually studied her passion at a professional school. She began painting portraits of local pets and also practiced drawing naked bodies. Fittingly, it was her own nude figure that allowed her to pursue her art career at a much higher level.
Playboy discovered Victoria after seeing one of her modeling shoots. The magazine invited her to be Playmate of the Month for January 1996 in an art-themed pictorial. She discussed her dreams and aspirations to pursue her interest at a professional level. Nine years after her Playmate spread she posed for the May 2005 issue of the magazine. She traveled the world appearing in various modeling shoots as Miss January but knew art was her true passion.
Victoria successfully used her Playmate status to pursue a professional art career. In 2000 she became the first and only artist to receive a licensing contract from Playboy. This allowed her to use the Playboy logo and Bunny costumes in her artwork. She’s even painted portraits of Hugh Hefner. Hefner must have been impressed because he asked her to contribute full-page cartoons for the magazine.
In 1995 Victoria married Jonathan Baker. The couple welcomed their only child Trease on October 6, 2006. Victoria and Jonathan appeared on the sixth season of the CBS hit reality show The Amazing Race. Their participation was noted for Jonathan’s abrasive behavior throughout the competition. In 2011 the couple divorced.
In addition to The Amazing Race Victoria has appeared on other reality television shows including Battle of the Network Reality Stars, Fear Factor and The Tyra Banks Show. She continued her Playboy relationship by turning up in several episodes of The Girls Next Door, and also served as Kendra Wilkinson’s nanny on the reality show Kendra.
