To make amazing fish tacos isn’t difficult at all, as our friends at Food Steez show when they create some delicious tacos with an avocado cream, lime and cabbage. Here’s the recipe below so you can try it at home.
1 lb. white fish
8 6-inch flour tortillas
¼ c. taco seasoning
1½ limes, juiced
2 c. thinly sliced purple cabbage
¼ c. mayo
Avocado Baja Sauce
1 ripe avocado
1 lime, juiced
4 tbsp. greek yogurt
½ c. cilantro
1 clove of garlic
1 tsp. salt
In a food processor, combine avocado, cilantro, mayo, lime juice, greek yogurt, salt, garlic, and pulse until smooth. Add approximately 1-2 tbsp. of water if needed for consistency.
Thinly slice cabbage and toss with ¼ c. mayo and juice from ½ lime.
Heat skillet to medium and add 2 tbsp. of olive oil. Cut up pieces of white fish into 1" cubes. Place fish in skillet and add lime juice from 1 lime then sprinkle taco seasoning. Sauté over medium heat for 6-8 minutes until outside is brown and fish is tender.
Heat tortillas over stove top flame or in saucepan until browned. To assemble, place cabbage slaw on tortillas followed by white fish and topped with avocado baja sauce.
