"Likely the sexiest partnership in Vegas, Playboy and the Palms team up for the ultimate A-list partying and gaming lounge." -- Citysearch.com
A sensual blend of fantasy and indulgence, topped with a reputation for decadence, the Playboy Club Las Vegas re-defines cool.
High atop The Palms Fantasy Tower, the iconic lifestyle once again reanimates itself off the magazine's pages and comes to life in the Playboy Club's sophisticated ambience. A reinterpretation of the swanky Playboy Clubs of the 1960s and 1970s, the lounge offers exciting nightlife appealing to men and women alike. The club features floor-to-ceiling windows, offering spectacular views of the Las Vegas Strip. Equally stunning is the view inside, with plasma video screens displaying archive magazine images, Playboy Centerfold wallpaper and, of course, those beautiful Bunnies. Whether they're dealing you a lucky hand at the blackjack and roulette tables or displaying their legendary Bunny Dip as they deliver your cocktails, these Bunnies make the evening unforgettable. The Playboy Club's vintage Vegas décor incorporates rich, dark colors, plush leather sofas and the trademark Playboy Bunny logo intricately woven throughout, from the carpeting to the buttons on the sofas.
"The bunny is back," said Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. "The brand has become hotter on a global level, hotter than ever before. So we were looking for a place to re-ignite the whole Playboy Club-Casino concept, and Las Vegas seemed like the most logical place.
"We made a deal to move into the Palms and I think it was the right choice. They are very successful at attracting a young, hip audience, from celebrities to high rollers." Hefner added that Playboy Enterprises plans to open Playboy Club-Casinos elsewhere in the world, including London and Macau.
"It is the relationship with the Maloofs and the Palms, however, that is really the beginning of it all," he said. While Hefner had input in the design of the Playboy Club, he said most of the credit goes to the Maloofs and the Las Vegas-based entertainment company that helped open the club, N9NE Group. Michael Morton, a principal of N9NE group, is the son of Chicago restaurateur Arnie Morton, one of Hefner's partners in the launch of the original Playboy Club. "So our roots run all the way back to the early days," Hefner said.
The opening of the club in October 2006 brought back many memories. "I felt a tremendous amount of nostalgia," said Hefner, whose daughter Christie, chairman and chief executive officer of Playboy Enterprises, also attended. "It was a very emotional weekend for me."
In a city with some of the best nightclubs in the world, the new Playboy Club at the Palms takes its rightful place at the top. And so the legend continues…
