Hef appears in the first two installments of Showtime's six-part documentary, each directed by a different filmmaker. The first, Garry Marshall on Marriage in the 20th Century: In Search of the Happy Ending, features an interview with the newly separated American playboy about his thoughts on marriage. Part two, Robert Townsend on Sex in the 20th Century: From Behind Closed Doors, catches up with Hef again, this time talking about inhibited sexual mores of the Fifties and Sixties, the Playboy Clubs and the pill.
