Michelle Weisstuch
Michelle is fluent in six languages—Portuguese, German, Russian, Ukrainian, English, and Spanish—but the Amazon rainforest taught her something more valuable than dialect: the power of listening to yourself. The 24-year-old German-born model of Ukrainian heritage splits her time between Paris for work and Madeira, Portugal, for recharging, but it's the jungle in the Brazilian state of Acre where
she discovered her calling.
"The Amazon is very alive," she explains. "There's a lot to discover and learn, and I have found family and lifelong connections there." What began as joining a friend's personal mission evolved into seven months of solo immersion with Indigenous communities, learning traditional wisdom that modern society has forgotten.
