Every Halloween, some people dress up as monsters, animals, and superheroes, while others (many others) dress up as sexy monsters, animals, and superheroes. The sexy vs. slutty debate may never die, but if you believe people should wear whatever they want the other 364 days a year, why should Halloween be any different? There’s really no reason to ever call someone “slutty,” unless they identify as a slut and ask to be addressed that way.
Modern Family actress Ariel Winter has made it clear on multiple occasions how much she hates when people criticize her body and her clothing choices, whether she’s wearing short-shorts or a minidress. She feels good about herself, and she’s going to show as much skin as she pleases. This Halloween, Winter dressed as a sexy skeleton on Friday, and as Leeloo from The Fifth Element on Saturday. Both costumes prove that she’s as comfortable in her own skin as ever.

Ultimately, Halloween is a chance to relax, have fun and party with your friends, while wearing whatever you please. Be weird, be silly, be scary, be sexy. Who cares? There shouldn’t be rules about how to dress on Halloween or any other day of the year. Wear whatever feels right, and own it. These women will show you how it’s done:
Emily Ratajkowski wore a purple wig and X’s of black tape as pasties under mesh lingerie, because why not?
Shanina Shaik wore tape pasties, too:
Lais Ribeiro and her fellow Brazilian model Lays Silva dressed as clowns in sequined bras and satin corsets:
Victoria Lee and Kelly Gale posed together in all-black ensembles:
Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls dressed as cat and (Minnie) mouse:
Taylor Hill dressed as a zombie cowgirl:
Sara Sampaio dressed as Little Red Riding Hood (after a fierce battle with the Big Bad Wolf):
