Last month,, the internet went wild over a photo of Rihanna and Lupita Nyong’o hanging out, and basically willed their upcoming buddy movie into existence. Well, it looks like Riyong’o (we’re copywriting that, by the way) may have found their male counterparts.
On Friday, Frank Ocean performed one of his first shows in three years at the Parklife festival in Manchester, U.K, which according to reports didnt go so well. Did he use the occasion to make a bold statement about political or social injustice? No, he didn’t. Instead, the mercurial singer wanted the world to know that much like the rest of us, he really, really digs Brad Pitt.
Ocean wore a shirt baring Pitt’s face, which some interpreted as a response to the recent interview Pitt gave to GQ Style, in which he expressed his deep admiration for Ocean.
“I find this young man so special,” Pitt said at the time. “Talk about getting to the raw truth. He’s painfully honest. He’s very, very special. I can’t find a bad one.”
So now that we have our second unlikely friendship between a pop star and a movie star in as many months, does this mean we’re going to get another buddy movie featuring Pitt and Ocean, too? C’mon internet, make this happen.
