German car manufacturer Opel (a subsidiary of General Motors, sold under the Buick brand in the US), has just released their 2017 calendar, titled “Opel Wonderland of Dreams.” The 2017 edition stars British model Georgia May Jagger (daughter of The Rolling Stones’ Mick and Jerry Hall) and Internet phenomenon Grumpy Cat (aka: “The Grumpiest Cat in the World”), a feline celebrated for her moody attitude.

Over the past few years, the calendar has garnered attention with previous editions having featured photography from singer Bryan Adams and designer Karl Lagerfeld.

This year’s images were shot by famed German photographer and ex-model, Ellen von Unwerth, at the Babelsberg Film Studio, located outside of Berlin. Von Unwerth is known for her fiercely feminine, often erotically charged imagery, with an extensive and revered body of work which includes Playboy.

This project features Opel models set against seasonal backdrops, while showcasing Jagger and her pouty friend in finest of form. Images of the power duo looking fierce with Opel have flooded social media, as Jagger, Grumpy, and von Unwerth were all excited to release.

Jagger posted a photo to her 836K Instagram followers holding Grumpy Cat. While she provides a smile, Grumpy offers her signature temperamental look.

At the launch party, touted a vernissage, blonde beauty Jagger poses next to an oversize blow up of Grumpy Cat, who is wearing a massive gold chain necklace. Jagger holds a balloon, reading “I had fun once. It was awful,” an inside joke on theme with Grumpy’s modus operandi.

Grumpy herself followed up with this, sharing a sulky photo and captioning “I loved working with Opel. Except Not.”

In one of the images, Jagger poses with scissors as Grumpy Cat, perched upon the roof of an Opel, looks on. Jagger wears a floral gown and silver platforms as coordinating roses garnish the floor.

Here Grumpy Cat serves as a backseat driver, riding on the tail of an Opel while Jagger lounges amidst flowers.

Jagger wears a metallic emerald gown, standing on green grass as she poses against a coordinating backdrop, concealing an Opel car.

All eyes are on Grumpy cat – and Jagger’s legs – which are encased in black polka dot stockings, as she stands in front of an Opel.

Whether the ice princess is Jagger or Grumpy Cat is to be decided as the duo pose with a white Opel.
