Playboy Celebrates L.A. Pride 2018

The staff of Playboy, along with a cast of Playboy Bunnies (each dressed in a color of the rainbow flag) enthusiastically joined Southern California's queer and LGBT ally community in West Hollywood's annual L.A. Pride Parade. Playboy's participation in the massive event, which attracts hundreds of thousands of people to Los Angeles every year, marked our first—although the company has of course long championed sexual freedom and equality in its pages of the magazine.

Playboy's Pride presence coincides with's second month-long Pride series, which includes personal essays, profiles and interviews featuring Brooklyn Nine-Nine actress Stephanie Beatriz, director John Cameron Mitchell, Younger actor Nico Tortorella, Unreal actor Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, musician Betty Who, RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars winner Trixie Mattel, trans activist Ashlee Marie Preston, YouTuber Orion Carloto, Florida Equality Executive Director Nadine Smith, poet Danez Smith, songwriter Justin Tranter, author Jamie Bernstein and sexual neuroscientist Debra W. Soh.

And with its new LGBT+ vertical, Playboy is more committed than ever to championing necessary conversations about queerness and sexual identity. Playboy’s storytellers are proud to introduce these underrepresented LGBT narratives to our wide international audience and further progress toward acceptance and equality.
