Some catchy tunes, combined with sumptuous sets and period costumes, give a veneer of tasteful titillation to Cinderella, a soft-X musical comedy (not to be confused with the futuristic Cinderella 2000, below). Scratch the veneer, however, and you find a flat, vulgarized version of the classic fairy tale, featuring a prince (Brett Smiley) who has problems about sex.
