Fixing Police LineupsRichmond, Virginia--A legislative advisory committee has recommended that the state's police departments stop using traditional lineups because of the overwhelming error rate. (Of the first 157 convictions overturned in the U.S. by DNA evidence, nearly 90 percent involved mistaken identifications.)
