About Monica Sims
Monica Sims is the blonde beauty who became Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for September 2015. The half-Bolivian knockout grew up in Orange County, California and began modeling at only 15-years-old. She ended up becoming quite successful, and at 16 bought herself a Mercedes-Benz convertible, a decision not everyone was excited with.
“My dad wasn’t happy, because he wanted me to get a Jetta, as every girl should for her first car,” says Monica. “But I’m strong in my decisions and extremely strong-willed. You have to do what makes you happy in life.”
This would be a common occurrence in Monica’s life, as she’s not afraid to show off her independent streak. She says, “You never know what to expect from me.” While the sunny blonde enjoys surfing and the beach like any SoCal native, she also loves the TV show American Horror Story and says her favorite holiday is Halloween because “I love dressing up and letting my inner demon come out and play.”
Don’t think Miss September is content by staying in the California sun. She’s traveled around the globe to see the best the world has to offer. One of her travel tips to fans is to “go to Tulum and do yoga on the beach. It’s very spiritual. That way, you won’t feel guilty drinking tequila all night.” She hopes to see as many countries in the world as humanly possible and learn another language.
Besides the sun, Monica’s also soaked in the laidback vibes of Orange County, and tries to be as real as possible. “So many people try to put on an image and a show,” she says. “That’s why I love my Playboy pictorial. I’m just chilling by the pool on a typical beautiful, sunny Los Angeles day. It’s effortless and chic, and that’s me. And that’s how I want to make people feel. I want people to feel at ease. Feel warm. Feel happy.”
And as part of her “effortless and chic” vibe, she’s also very upfront with what people should expect from her. She says, “Don’t expect me to be on time, but expect me to last all night and if you play your cards right, I might even share my coffee with you.”
Let’s hope she likes sugar in her coffee.
