Sunset Boulevard, 1992
1992 12 Studio West Mural by Larry Kaplow
The exterior of Playboy’s West Hollywood office serves as a canvas for provocateur Mike McNeilly’s mural *Know Censorship.* The artwork, featuring a gagged and blindfolded Lady Liberty, was his second to appear on the building’s facade; the first was a 50-foot-tall illustration, intended to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS, that proclaimed “Do or Die” and showed a torn condom wrapper.
