Hailing from Houston, Gia Cara’s first foray into modeling originated with wanting to pull in extra income to support her college education. “It was always something I wanted to try,” she tells PLAYBOY, “but the more I did it, the more I realized how modeling can be such a unique form of creative expression.”
Her appreciation for photography—and being both in front of and behind the lens—goes even deeper: Gia studied Film in undergrad. When not pursuing her creative interests, Gia spends her free time hiking, attending live music events and squeezing in some time by the pool. It should be no surprise, then, that we discovered her at Playboy Fridays, our annual daytime pool party at TAO Beach, hosted at The Venetian in Las Vegas every summer.
As the winner of our 2019 Discover & Be Discovered model search, we couldn’t have been happier to collaborate on an original photo shoot with a woman whose appreciation for creative expression and beautiful photography mirrors our own.
