I'm fairly hip when it comes to foreign cars, but I veer off the track when I try to make some sense out of the numerical designation foreign manufacturers give their chariots. For instance, MGA 1600, Mercedes-Benz 300SL, Jaguar's Mark IX, 3.8, XK150S, and Renault 4CV seem like total gibberish.
