The Mothers of Invention are finally beginning to deliver some truly inventive music. Uncle Meat (Reprise) is a carefully etched two-LP set that takes in not only the Mothers' familiar comedic ventures in the Dada tradition (Sleeping in a Jar and Mr. Green Genes) but also long stretches of music, unobstructed by noise and enhanced by tactful tape juggling and meticulous overdubbing.
