Maggie Bell grew up poor in Glasgow; but in some strange way, it must have been like growing up sad and plain in Port Arthur, Texas, because her first solo album, Queen of the Night (Atlantic), is an amazing ghost of Janis--and one song, A Woman Left Lonely, is even dedicated to her.
