Bruce WilliamsonIngmar Bergman's new movie, Autumn Sonata, is a mother-daughter title bout on the subject of love, or the lack of it, and gets straight to the heart of the matter. To label this a woman's film would be a mistake, because it is primarily a drama about parents and children of either sex and the pain inflicted on both sides.
