Graham Greene's Monsignor Quixote (Simon ? Schuster) is a nifty bit of literary updating. A simple country priest, who counts the fictional Don as an ancestor, is suddenly elevated to monsignor--a sort of knight of the Church. He sets off on a journey with the former mayor of his town, a Communist conveniently miscalled Sancho, in a Fiat-Five named Rocinante.
