The ballad below (according to the letter that came with it) tells the story of a fellow who once visited his uncle's farm in Iowa, discovered a field of wild Cannabis and was arrested after harvesting 80 pounds of it. He got off with three months in jail, during which time some songwriting friends came to visit and, with the sheriff's amused permission, entertained the inmates. The performance was taped by a deputy, who played it over the police radio at night to antagonize the unpopular state...
