Bix and LaloAlthough Bix Beiderbecke died 65 years ago, the haunting sounds of his music will live on October 12 when Lalo Schifrin introduces his new composition, A Rhapsody for Bix, at the Mark of the Quad Cities arena during Iowa's sesquicentennial. The Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Society is sponsoring the Sound of Bix event, and seats are $15, $30 and $45. Drummer Louie Bellson and cornetist James Morrison will also play.
