Ticket Trap RevengeThree years ago I was issued a $108 speeding ticket by one of 14 traffic cops in New Rome, Ohio (population 60), a 12-acre hamlet west of Columbus. I was accused of driving 42 mph in a 35 mph zone on the short stretch of U.S. 40 that cuts through town. This would have been fair if the speed limit sign hadn't been all but unreadable--11 feet from the curb and just five feet high.
