I am disturbed by the reader who said he earns "penis points" from his wife that he can redeem for sex (February). This sad letter reflects the fact that American men have lost control of their sex lives. More and more of my middle-aged friends say their wives have informed them they have no use for sex and the men should "get over it." There is even an implied ban on masturbation.
