Another year has flown by, full of laughter and heartbreak, darkness and light. To kick off 2013 we've assembled a wildly ambitious double issue. It starts with a look at the life of fictional character Dean Moriarty courtesy of the inimitable Jack Kerouac, who seared Moriarty's pathos into the American soul with his novel On the Road, which has finally made it to the big screen.
