As we continue to fight undeclared wars to support the demands of the military-industrial complex, we need to tax the rich at the same rates we did during World War I and World War II, i.e., 80 or 90 percent. It has only been since the maximum rate was lowered during the 1970s that the middleclass has been bearing the brunt In fact, historically the decline in the maximum rate always seems to precede the decline of the middle-incomers. Imagine how the nation would benefit if we could raise taxes...
