I disagree with Ishmael Reed ("Who's Next?," July/August). Gays aren't the new blacks; felons are. I have three felony convic­tions for possessing small amounts of marijuana, less than half an ounce each time. Unfortunately,in Oklahoma marijuana is con­sidered a controlled dangerous substance. It is grouped in the same class of drugs as heroin and methamphetamine. My only crime is smoking marijuana. Sincemy incarceration I have experi­enced housing discrimination and difficulty finding...
