Thursday brings us a three-game NBA slate, with numerous profitable matchups and opportunities to cash in. Tonight’s schedule includes the Toronto Raptors at Cleveland Cavaliers (7 pm ET, NBA TV), the Indiana Pacers at Phoenix Suns (9 pm ET), and the Atlanta Hawks at Utah Jazz (9 pm ET).
In this article, I dove deep into the numbers and recent trends to locate the value that’s there for the taking. With teams heading into unique scheduling spots and some key injuries present, it’s the perfect night to target those hidden gems and capitalize on the spots.
There’s a nice mix of player props in the Raptors-Cavs game, while I’ve got my eye on a team total in Pacers-Suns, as well as a game total with the Hawks-Jazz. Let’s feast on this condensed slate and hit the sportsbooks where it hurts!

Toronto Raptors at Cleveland Cavaliers Pick: 2-Leg SGP | Immanuel Quickley: Under 16.5 Points + Jarrett Allen: Over 14.5 Points (+230)
We’ve got two solid DvP matchups to take advantage of in the same game! Don’t threaten me with the good time of creating an SGP!
Point guards are having a tough time scoring against the Cavs, who rank #1 in PPG allowed to the position. Darius Garland didn’t play the last game, but even if he’s still out, Lonzo Ball is still an exceptional NBA defender. Let’s take Quickley going under 16.5 points (-120); only one of the last six teams to face Cleveland had a PG exceed this mark.
To complete this duo, let’s take Allen going over 14.5 points (-125). The Cavs’ center doubled up on this total last game with 30 points and even added 10 rebounds. These numbers were certainly helped by the fact that Cleveland was missing a few guys. Especially if those guys are out again, the matchup makes this too good to pass up on. The Raptors are allowing the fifth-most PPG (25.8) to opposing centers, and each of the last two dropped 20+ points against them.
Indiana Pacers at Phoenix Suns Pick: Suns Team Total: Over 118.5 Points (-104)
The Suns are on a four-game winning streak, averaging 118.3 PPG over that span. Oh, what an aptly-placed number here by the oddsmakers!
Phoenix did play last night (123-114 win) at Dallas, but you can make a decent argument that the quick travel will knock its chances down a peg. However, Indiana (1-10) has been absolutely brutal this season, and rock bottom may have been grazed in its last game, getting boatraced 152-128 by a Utah Jazz team that was 1-6 in its last seven going into that matchup.
Regardless, this matchup is way too good to shy away from. Especially with the Pacers playing the final leg of a tough four-game road trip that included stops at Denver (NBA’s highest altitude), Golden State, Utah (NBA’s second-highest altitude), and now to the desert in Phoenix. That is not an easy gauntlet of cities to go through, so I expect the Suns to have a field day here at home.
It’s also worth noting the Suns are 5-1 at home, while the Pacers are 0-6 on the road.
Atlanta Hawks at Utah Jazz Pick: Under 232.5 Points (-105)
Both teams are coming in hot, with the Hawks dropping 133 points last night and the Jazz far exceeding that total with 152 on Tuesday. I hate to be the bearer of bad news here, but we’ve got a trend working in our favor.
There are only eight NBA teams that aren’t covering overs on the total in 50% of their games, and two of them are playing each other tonight. The Hawks and Jazz both have similar ranks, in terms of pace and offensive efficiency – ATL: 14th in pace, 22nd in off eff, UTA: 13th in pace, 23rd in off eff.
Considering the Hawks played last night, the tempo could be ticked down a notch. The similar styles of play could lead to a closer game, and if that’s the case, we’re not going to have as many of those unfortunate free-throw attempts coming back to bite us in the end.
