Sometimes a trip out West is just what the doctor ordered. Ask Miss June. "You can't be naked in Colorado," says Audrey Aleen Allen of her home state. "It's so frigid. When PLAYBOY flew me out to sunny Malibu to shoot my pictorial, I was like, 'Yes!'" It was our pleasure. Audrey comes alive in the sun, the solar rays take her radiance to another level. Her journey to this beach, and to these
pages, was a long one. Four years ago she made Playmate-hood her god when she discovered the lady she calls her idol, Playmate of the Year 2007 Sara Jean Underwood. "Sara put this beautiful light on PLAYBOY for me, with her artful innocence and sweetness," says Miss June. "She had this natural glow that I could relate to, and I thought, I have to make this happen for me too!" After she hit a Denver casting call last fall, the second-year industrial and organizational psychology major's wish began to materialize, culminating in the celebration of sunny seaside fun you see here. "My shoot does a great job of depicting me," she says. "I'm young, playful, goofy and, not to be immodest, sensual too." As much as Audrey comes alive in front of the camera, her Playmate experience reached perfection two days after her shoot. She was at the Mansion when Sara Jean Underwood showed up. "I was so taken aback," Audrey says. "For Sara to show up at the Mansion—it was icing on the cake. For me it was like, I'm here. I'm officially a Playmate. I did it."
