Actor Jessie Cave appeared in multiple Harry Potter movies, but she’s out-earned her entire acting career in just one year on OnlyFans—simply by brushing her hair.
Cave, who played Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter movies, told The Times that she joined OnlyFans in 2025 during a low point in her career. After being rejected for a role and in need of money, Cave said she signed up for OnlyFans, where she told subscribers they wouldn’t find nude content. Instead, she shows herself brushing her long hair.
“My rule is the hair is the main character,” she told The Times. “That’s how I justify it. It’s literally about hair: the texture of hair. The fetish. It’s very, very niche.”
With hair “down to [her] vagina,” Cave said keeping it long is part of her schtick: “I could trim it but the truth is, the weirder the better.”
And that schtick is pretty lucrative. Cave said she earned £15,000—or about $20,000—in just one day on OnlyFans.
“I thought I’d make five grand, be on it for a few months and it would buy me time to work out what we’re going to do,” the mom of four told The Times. “But it’s now been over a year and a half and it’s genuinely saved our lives.”
Cave is one of many actors posting on OnlyFans to earn some cash. Shannon Elizabeth joined the platform this spring, alongside stars like Lily Allen, Denise Richards, Jaime Pressly, and more. Some use it as another way to connect with fans, while others share some racy content behind the paywall.
Cave told the Times there’s a lot she doesn’t like about being on Only Fans, but there are many aspects she does enjoy.
“For so long I’ve just been this quirky figure,” she said. “After having four kids and feeling invisible for so long that was really appealing to me.”
