It’s hard to deny that pretending to be someone else adds a certain allure to the night. But if you’re planning to dress up as something not conventionally sexy, like Shrek or a rubber chicken, you might need some pointers on how to spice up your night.
This Halloween, we consulted the ultimate authority on the subject — a Playboy Playmate — about how to have a sexy Halloween. Lauren Summer, Playboy‘s Miss February and winner of the 2025 Great Playmate Search, filled us in on why she loves Halloween, and she has a bit of good news for you: Shrek can be sexy, too.
“Halloween is the sexy holiday,” Summer tells Playboy. “It’s the night that everyone gets to dabble in a little bit of role play! I feel like what makes a costume sexy is actually trying. No more men wearing their normal clothes and going as ‘themselves’ for Halloween. Make a costume! Buy a hat! Commit!”
All Hail Halloween: The Last Horny Holiday
Committing doesn’t mean you need a whole elaborate plan. Summer doesn’t have a firm one herself. Calling herself a “last minute Halloween costume planner,” Summer says she likes to think up a sexy spin on a funny getup.
“I swear every year I come up with such funny costumes, but I always end up doing something sexy,” Summer says. “I can’t fight who I truly am inside, that part of me wins every year. So this year? Probably a last minute sexy version of a sheep from the movie ‘Sheep Detectives.'”
No matter what your costume is, Summer has one final tip for keeping Halloween sexy, and it’s one of those if-you-know-you-know things: “Keep. The mask. On.”
