Hailing from Colombia and now based in Chicago, Laura is a fast-rising star on the Playboy Club. Between her obsession with chocolate, her love for the beach, and her pitbull named London, she’s a vibrant mix of sweetness and bold personality. We caught up with Laura to talk about her favorite comfort foods, fictional crushes, and why every woman she meets inspires her.
PLAYBOY: Where are you from?
Laura: I was born in Beijing Sensio and raised in Bukaram, between Medellín and Bucaramanga, until 2022 when I moved to the States — Chicago.
PLAYBOY: Do you have a go-to order at Portillo’s?
Laura: Probably this is going to sound weird, but their burger. Everybody talks about their Portillo’s sandwich, but I prefer their burger. I’m sorry. It’s so simple that it makes it so unique. Every burger here has bacon and everything. I don’t like bacon. So, simplicity makes everything in the Portillo’s burger. For me, it’s weird.

PLAYBOY: What was your first big dream growing up?
Laura: I was in this beauty pageant when I was a girl and I got to win it. Probably that. Everything started when I was a little girl, related to modeling. I was always focused on that, and those little beauty pageants made everything so nice. They made me realize this is what I like.
PLAYBOY: What makes you happiest?
Laura: My doggy, the beach, and warm weather.
PLAYBOY: Tell me about your dog.
Laura: His name is London, and he’s a pitbull. He’s one year old. He’s so kind. He doesn’t even bite me playing. He just kisses. I don’t know. He’s not a pity — I doubt it — but he’s a pitbull. He doesn’t act like one though.
PLAYBOY: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Laura: Live in the moment. Don’t stress about the past or what’s coming. Just act correctly and live in the moment. And that’s hard for me. I’m always thinking in the future, but that shouldn’t be that way.

PLAYBOY: What food do you reach for when you’re feeling sad?
Laura: Chocolate.
PLAYBOY: What’s your favorite kind of chocolate? Any favorite brands?
Laura: I was obsessed with Hershey’s at first, two years ago. But now I’m more into chocolates from my country since I’m not there, so I’m missing them. Jumbo, Jet, and Mlak. I don’t know if Mlak is from my country, but it’s my favorite right now. I’m obsessed.
PLAYBOY: What’s a talent you wish you had?
Laura: Can it be something fictitional? Be invisible and be able to know what everybody’s doing. Strategic. I like to know how am I playing. I like to have my cards clear, if that makes sense.

PLAYBOY: Who inspires you?
Laura: I see inspiration in every woman. I’m able to see every girl’s ability to be unique in herself. It’s more like in general — not just someone. Everybody inspires me in a certain way. I’m able to see my friends’ good things, my boyfriend’s good things — like everybody’s good things. That kind of inspires me through everyday’s moments.
PLAYBOY: Is there a movie, show, or video game you’re obsessed with?
Laura: I’ve always been obsessed with Grand Theft Auto. Since 2013, probably. I used to play Vice City a lot, San Andreas, and all the GTA childhood games. I’m super excited for the new one in Miami. I literally can’t wait.
PLAYBOY: Do you believe in astrology? Can you tell me about your sign?
Laura: Yes. I’m a Cancer moon and Scorpio ascendant. So it’s pretty complicated. Emotions rule me. That will be my main problem. But my main benefit as well. As strong as the ocean and weak as water.
PLAYBOY: Who was the first fictional character you fell in love with?
Laura: Probably Caleb from Pretty Little Liars. He was like the typical surf guy. That would be my type. A surf guy, kind of like tan, golden hair, golden skin. Yeah, my baby.
PLAYBOY: Describe your perfect slice of pizza.
Laura: Italians don’t hate me — pineapple in it, and then pepperoni, some ham, and lots of cheese. It has to have a lot of cheese.

PLAYBOY: What kind of meme or viral video always makes you laugh?
Laura: I pretty laugh at every meme. I find them very funny, but mostly the ones recorded in weird neighborhoods, like weird people. It’s so weird. I swear, but it’s so funny. People, I don’t know how to explain it. Weird neighborhoods making memes, and somehow it gets super viral. Those ones are hilarious for me.
PLAYBOY: Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Laura: Find me in the Playboy Club. I’m super excited about being part of it. My career started last year and it’s not doing anything but growing.
