What are the Best Bets for NBA Games on Friday, Oct. 24, 2025?
Jarrett Allen (Cleveland Cavaliers): Over ___ Points + Rebounds (odds)
I probably shouldn’t admit this, but I am a fan of the Brooklyn Nets. After watching Wednesday’s game, it became very clear to me: We MUST bet as many overs against the Nets as humanly possible this season Ryan Kalkbrenner (a 2025 second-round pick) just posted a 10-point, 11-rebound double-double.
So… that brings us to Jarrett Allen, who laid an absolute stinker in the season opener against the Knicks, posting four points and four rebounds in 28 minutes. Tonight, Allen gets a chance to redeem himself against the team that drafted him, and a matchup against the guy that made him expendable. If Allen doesn’t thrive in this opportunity, then the Cavs have to start asking themselves some tough questions.
Karl-Anthony Towns (New York Knicks): Over 10.5 Rebounds (-130)
We just saw Towns against these Celtics in last season’s Eastern Conference Semifinals, and he averaged 12.7 boards per game in the series. Well, Boston didn’t necessarily get better down low, so I expect KAT to smash this number, which is what the -130 juice is telling us.
Towns just grabbed 11 rebounds on Wednesday, and that was in a much tougher matchup against the Cavs’ Jarrett Allen. Although the Celtics scored 116 in their opener, this is a much tougher draw for them; there’s also no Jayson Tatum to bail them out. I expect Boston to struggle a bit more tonight, and KAT will be there to swoop up the rebounds.
Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves): Over 26.5 Points (-115)
Edwards had 23+ points in six of his last eight regular-season meetings against the Lakers; the only two misnomers were because he played only half the game. Now, we take an injured LeBron James out of the equation, and we’re looking quite optimistic here.
Jimmy Butler of the Warriors, who plays the same position as Edwards, went wild against the Lakers on Tuesday with 31 points; more than half (16 pts) came from a perfect night at the free-throw line. Well, Edwards went a perfect 8-for-8 from the charity stripe on Wednesday against the Trail Blazers (a far worse defense) en route to 41 points.
