Monday Night Football Player Props: Washington Commanders at Kansas City Chiefs

Monday Night Football wraps up another thrilling slate of NFL games, this time featuring a marquee matchup between the Washington Commanders and the Kansas City Chiefs.

It was supposed to be a QB matchup for the ages, with the former MVP Patrick Mahomes going against last season’s Offensive Rookie of the Year, but the latter has already been ruled out. Now, we get Mahomes vs Mariota. Advantage: KC.

This article takes an in-depth look at the best player prop bets for the Commanders-Chiefs showdown, offering expert analysis on which players are poised to stand out. We’ll break down the most enticing matchups to target, including plays on Rashee Rice, Jacory Croskey-Merritt, and Travis Kelce.

I’ll take a look at recent performances, statistical trends, and key defensive strengths/weaknesses to pinpoint where the best betting opportunities exist. Whether you’re searching for touchdown scorers or over/unders on yards, these data-driven insights will help you gain an edge for Monday night’s big game.

What are the Best Player Props for Monday Night Football: Commanders at Chiefs?

Rashee Rice (Kansas City Chiefs): Anytime TD (+100)

Rice got back on the field for KC last week and was rewarded with seven catches (10 targets) for 42 yards and two touchdowns. One of the particularly interesting caveats from last week was how Rice got into the end zone; he got one via jet sweep. But the plan was for Rice to play 40% of the snaps last week, and he absolutely smashed in that matchup. His workload will ramp up from here.

Washington has been below-average in defending opposing WRs, and they may be mentally drained after last week’s beatdown in Dallas. It’s worth noting, the Commanders are allowing the fourth-most yards after catch (55.6) to opposing WRs this season, so that certainly gives Rice an easier path to paydirt.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt (Washington Commanders): Over 52.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards (-115)

KC’s defense pitched a shutout against Las Vegas last week, but there’s one particular angle I’d like to attack here. The Chiefs are allowing the fourth-most yards per carry (4.1) in the NFL, and Croskey-Merritt should have plenty in the tank after laying a dud in Dallas last week.

To be fair, the entire team laid a dud, but JCM did eclipse this 52.5-yard mark in the three games before; this included gaining 150 total yards in Week 5 against the Chargers. Croskey-Merritt has at least 13 carries in each of the last three games, and he’s chipping in moderately in the passing game, which I expect to get plenty of reps late when the Commanders are trailing.

Travis Kelce (Kansas City Chiefs): Under 41.5 Receiving Yards (-112)

Kelce has actually exceeded this total in six of his last seven games, including each of the last four. However, TEs haven’t had much personal success against the Commanders in October, with 30 yards being the most anyone at that position gained.

This doesn’t appear like it will be a particularly close game tonight, considering KC is a 12-point favorite and Washington will be without its starting QB. Not to mention, the Chiefs are fully healthy at the skill-player positions (RB, WR, TE), so the need to overload Kelce with targets just isn’t in the game plan.
